01 30 2006: we’ve just relaunched a redesigned wonkette for gawker media. it’s the first time the site’s been done since i designed it in 2003. a much-needed overhaul, too.

01 26 2006: we had a request last week for a type design portfolio. we’ve been getting more requests like this, so i’m making the portfolio public (PDF, 23.3 MB). this is mostly custom letterform design, and an interesting look into our past. there are a lot of things i’d forgotten about. enjoy!

01 18 2006: we’re launching mediashift later today, PBS’ first weblog ever. it’s a media critique authored by mark glaser of the online journalism review. milan and i co-designed what may be my favorite logotype to date—see the radio tower in the A? milan’s touch of brilliance there—i added an interface, and su contributed typographics, construction, and content management.

01 18 2006: you know, i completely forgot—what with the new year and all—to mention we redesigned botball.org for our friend kyle machulis at KIPR, who’ll be speaking at SxSW this year (and was voted one of this year’s ten sexiest geeks). it’s the first time we’ve developed a set of styles designed fully for any future content we won’t help manage. the entire process involved a full suite of templates, a content management system, a complete audit (and consultation on rewrite of) their written material, and an update of their identity system.

01 10 2006: our client we are scientists released their first US album today. they’ll be supporting with a full US tour over the next few months. rawk!

01 05 2006: ana announces today that she is leaving wonkette, because she has bigger fish to fry. we’ll be opening a redesign of the site sometime soon to reflect the change in management. and gender.
